Leading-Within: Vision for 2025!
A new way of engaging moving forward
Happy New Year!
January is my favorite month. It’s my birthday as well as many, many other family members’ birthdays. I also get to reflect, vision, and set goals!
My goal-setting has been a little complicated over the past few years. I have 7 categories: write, read, health, family, fun, finance, and career. I have a word of the year and a moonshot goal. I reflect on them at the beginning of every month. It’s a bit intense.
When I look at my vision boards over the past few years, they reflect these categories. Few things have changed. However, when I look at my vision board for 2025, there is a slight difference. There’s a focus on mindfulness, breathing, and silence.
I have only two categories of goals this year (health and writing). To help launch the writing goal, I’m engaging in the Mini 1000. It’s five days in a row of writing 1000 words a day. My health goal is focused on running the Berlin Marathon in September so focused on getting stronger these first 6 months of the year before starting marathon training.
The other 5 categories have become engrained into my every practice so I’m letting them go this year and will see how it goes. My moonshot goal remains the same.
My word for 2025 is “explore” and to do that, I need some space…
So because of this, I’m switching up my posting schedule for Leading-Within for 2025.
Free Subscribers
You will continue to receive the Leading-Within issues within the same format: a check-in, an interview with a leader of the global majority, and a collection of things I’m reading, listening, and watching.
This will drop down to once a month.
Paid Subscribers
You will get the Leading-Within issue and the writing update posts but these will be my actual writing versus a summary of what I’m writing.
This will drop down to twice a month (2nd and 4th Friday) versus every week. Some writing may be attached to the book I’m writing on “political acumen” while other writing may be more creative. Who knows what you may get!
You will get something 3 weeks of every month- either the traditional Leading-Within issue or my writing.
Overall
The intention is to slow down and explore more within and outside my writing and for me that means less sharing.
