Week Thirteen
I was on LinkedIn and saw a post from a connection. She was sharing pictures from a conference where she presented and I saw a slide with my book on it! I was thrilled someone thought my work was important enough to lead a book study around it. This also emphasized the weight of my writing and how it can be used once it’s printed.
This is what I hope for in writing. I have spent the majority of my career in front of classrooms and conference rooms with writing being a byproduct of those experiences. In this next phase, I want my writing to be the primary vehicle for education and learning.
However, the scary part is that I’m not there to clarify, correct, or extend the learning. What is read is what is understood; therefore each word holds so much weight.
This may be another excuse for why I am such a slow writer and why this book is like a slow trickle onto the page.
Week fourteen is complete.
How great to see your work in action like that. And for the record...I'm a slow trickle, too, Mary! :)
